Green Heart, Necklace & Bracelet

Even if you haven't tried jewellery making before, this is a project you can undertake without any experience! And what's better, its a project you can make in no time at all with stunning results!

To make the 'chunky' bracelet

  1. Randomly thread the larger beads from your Bead Cafe pack onto the elastic beading cord (whilst it is still on the roll). Keep doing this until you have enough to go around your wrist. You can test this by carefully wrapping the beads on the thread around your wrist. I have fairly thin wrists and used 12 beads.

  2. Cut the elastic beading cord leaving the ends long enough to tie a knot.

  3. Pull the elastic beading cord tight and tie a knot. Make sure your knot is tight otherwise it will come undone!

  4. Snip the loose ends off.

  5. Using clear nail varnish, seal the knot so it definitely won't come undone!

To make the 'thinner' bracelet

  1. Randomly thread the smaller beads from your Bead Cafe pack onto the elastic beading cord (whilst it is still on the roll).

  2. Follow the same instructions for the 'chunky' bracelet.

To make the necklace

  1. Thread the glass pendant onto the memory wire.

  2. Either side of the pendant, thread a small light green bead, then a dark green / clear bead.

  3. Hang the necklace from a hook so the pendant and beads hang centrally on the memory wire (I used a banana holder which was perfect!). Using super glue carefully stick the two beads together either side of the pendant, so that they can't move up and down the memory wire.

  4. Finally super glue two small beads to the ends of the memory wire so the wire doesn't scratch your skin.

Hey Presto - a stunning set of jewellery! Why not experiment with different colour beads and a different shaped pendant? The options are endless.

Impress your friends and make these as birthday presents!
